5 Foods to Keep You CoolSummer is a time for chilled and frozen treats, and if you’re on the HCG Diet, it’s easy to feel like you’re missing out. Here’s a list of HCG Diet-approved treats you can enjoy for a quick pick-me-up or a quick cool down on those very hot August days:

 

1 – Lemonade
Nothing is more refreshing than homemade lemonade. And you can make it so it’s HCG-approved! Squeeze 1 lemon, add water and sweeten with Stevia (of course, we recommend our Trulicious Sweetener). Add ice, sit on the porch and sip the day away.

2 – Gazpacho
How about a refreshing chilled soup to take the edge off the heat? This is an easy recipe and a great way to make this traditional Spanish soup in an HCG Diet approved way.

Ingredients:
3x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 red pepper, de seeded and roughly chopped
4tbsp sherry vinegar
1 sprig fresh thyme
10 basil leaves

Directions:
Put tomatoes into a blender. Add the garlic and pepper and blend until finely chopped. Add the vinegar and herbs and blend again. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Chill until ready to serve, then pour into chilled glasses. Serving size is 1 cup.

3 – Frozen Fruit
Just freeze thinly sliced strawberries or apples or sections of oranges and grapefruits for a cold, healthy snack any time of day.

4 – Strawberry Ice
Here’s another deliciously frozen treat: chop 6-8 frozen strawberries in a blender, add 1 tsp Trulicious Sweetener and 2 tbls lemon juice.

5 – Frozen Slim Smoothie

Ingredients:
Ice cubes
6 oz. water

Directions:
Fill a blender about ½ full with ice, add 6 oz. water and 2 scoops of chocolate Slim Meal Replacement Shake. Blend. Enjoy!
