Common Issues For First Time HCG Dieters

Our diet coaches have talked to thousands of clients to understand why their first round didn’t work. They have found that several clients are interested in trying the HCG Diet again once they understand these common issues that prevent people from having success on HCG.

Sticking to protocol: Sometimes when you first start out on HCG you aren’t aware how important it is to stick to the protocol. When you slipping with important things like measuring your meat, drinking enough water, not mixing vegtables and avoiding oils and sugar, you results slow down. You may not even realize that you aren’t sticking to protocol, so you become frustrated that the diet isn’t working right. This is a very common problem with our first time dieters. Sticking to protocol is key to your success on the HCG Diet.

Using the right products: Every now and then, we run into a dieter who is following the protocol exactly and STILL not losing weight. This is usually because the drops they are using aren’t high quality drops and so they aren’t helping them burn fat. This same thing can also be the case for people who feel too hungry to finish the diet. If you aren’t using a quality formula chances are you aren’t getting a very good appetite suppressant. Using a quality HCG formula is critical to making your next round on HCG a success.

Completing each phase of the diet: If you tried HCG before and weren’t able to keep the weight off, it’s most likely because you didn’t complete each round of the diet. After you finish Phase 2 (the 500 calorie portion of the diet) you MUST complete phase 3 if you expect to maintain your weight loss. Phase 3 is the phase that helps you safely transition into eating more calories and more varieties of food. Phase 3 should last between 3-6 weeks, after which you need to continue to eat healthy and start exercising to maintain your results.

Giving up before asking for help: It is easy to throw in the towel when you get discouraged, especially when it comes to weight loss. If at any point on your last round you felt like you were trying your best but not seeing results, we can understand the temptation to stop the diet immediately. Giving up at the first time things get tough is a major setback for clients. This journey is hard, but don’t give up on yourself.

Things to Consider When Trying the HCG Diet Again

If you’ve got your heart set on trying the HCG Diet again, we want to make sure that you have a better experience than your first time. The first step to making this happen is mental preparation. You need to be ready to commit full to the diet.  This means that you are determined and motivated to stick the the protocol no matter what. That brings us to our next tip, this time around make sure you are staying perfectly on protocol.  This means that you are measuring out your meat, avoiding foods that aren’t on your grocery list, and avoiding oils and sugar. This also means  planning ahead for busy days to ensure that you don’t get too hungry and cheat. It will help to create a 40 day HCG Menu plan and a detailed schedule that outlines every activity, birthday party, meeting, and date night between starting and finishing the diet. We recommend pulling out a calendar and making note of these types of events that will happen during your round of the HCG Diet. Recognizing these events in advance will give you time to come up with some food alternatives that won’t ruin your progress. It’s so important to avoid cheating while on the diet. We’ve noticed that when our clients cheat once, they are more likely to cheat again before they know it they have undone all their hardwork and they have to start over. Planning and scheduling can prevent a lot of the situations that lead people to go off protocol.  Finally, when you do start your diet, be sure to ask questions and seek support if you have any questions as well as on the days when you feel like giving up. After you finish the diet, be sure to read up on how to maintain your weight loss. It is possible to lose weight and maintain that weight loss with the HCG Diet, the hardest part is making the commitment to doing it, but once you do that you’re on your way to a healthy, happier you.
