Nothing beats coming home to a deliciously hot bowl of French onion soup. The only thing is, usually when we think about the dish it’s covered in cheese and white bread, and that’s not exactly healthy. We dug up this HCG Approved healthy french onion soup recipe and we though it was worth a share!
• 1 onion, thinly sliced
• 2 cups beef broth
• 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
• Stevia to taste
Preheat a non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Place onions and garlic in pan and
cook uncovered for 5-10 minutes. Stir in the Stevia. Cook 10-15 minutes until the
onions are caramelized. Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer,
cover, and cook for 20 minutes. Add black pepper and serve.

If you’re on Phase 3 of the HCG Diet, you are able to add a little cheese to this recipe, but don’t add too much. It kind of defeats the purpose of making healthy french onion soup if you smother it in cheese!
