Where Does the HCG Hormone Come From?

Where Does HCG Hormone Come From
There are a lot of misconception about HCG. For women who have had their HCG levels tested by their doctor they associate HCG with pregnancy only. The truth about HCG is that it is a hormone naturally present in everyone’s bodies at low levels. You body has many hormones that it uses to regulate it’s functioning. HCG triggers the hypothalamus to release stored fat cells. Naturally your body will produce higher levels of HCG during the time of pregnancy but it does not cause pregnancy. So with that in mind, you now know the concept of the purpose of HCG in your body and why it is used as a tool to help you lose weight.

If you want a bit more history, here is the story behind the use of HCG as a dietary supplement. British endocrinologist Albert T. W. Simeons‘ proposed HCG as an adjunct to an ultra-low-calorie weight-loss diet (less than 500 calories). Simeons, while studying pregnant women in India on a calorie-deficient diet, and “fat boys” with pituitary problems (Frölich’s syndrome) treated with low-dose HCG, claimed that both lost fat rather than lean (muscle) tissue. He reasoned that HCG must be programming the hypothalamus to do this in the former cases in order to protect the developing fetus by promoting mobilization and consumption of abnormal, excessive adipose deposits. Simeons in 1954 published a book entitled Pounds and Inches, designed to combat obesity. Simeons, practicing at Salvator Mundi International Hospital in Rome, Italy, recommended low-dose daily HCG injections (125 IU) in combination with a customized ultra-low-calorie (500 cal/day, high-protein, low-carbohydrate/fat) diet, which was supposed to result in a loss of adipose tissue without loss of lean tissue.

Now that you’ve had a history lesson you know that HCG was intended a s tool to help reduce fat cells in your body and to help you body burn the released cells as energy. Our brand particularly uses a FDA regulated laboratory that procures HCG in a purified way to make the HCG formula with amino acids.  Trace amounts of HCg can be found in your urine and that is why the doctors take a urine sample when performing a pregnancy test. It has nothing to do with urine it is just flushed out of your body by urination. Therefore those trace amounts can be extracted and utilized for other purposed through a separation and purification process in a FDA regulated lab that procures a pharmaceutical grade of the HCG that is enough to be effective on your diet program. Once the HCG hormone has been extracted and purified, it is combined into our formula that also includes amino acids to help support your body during the duration of the diet.

As this blog says, HCG is a hormone that your body naturally produces. It is extracted from body fluids. It is then purified and blended into our formula of amino acids and appetite suppressants.

Hi John! Thank you for reaching out! No, we have not heard of this condition while on the HCG Diet, we suggest talking to a healthcare provider. There is no relationship between these symptoms and the diet as far as we know.
