We’ve all been through it, we start a new diet and almost instantly friends and family say it will never work. They give you an example of a friend who tried the diet you’re doing and failed miserably and then gained more weight back. Hearing things like this can be incredibly disheartening, but keep in mind that someone else’s experience is not your own. Just because a friend of a friend wasn’t able to lose weight does not mean you are destined for the same outcome.
Losing weight is possible, and if you’re willing to put in the work you will see the results. If possible, try to avoid engaging with people who are not willing to support your efforts. It’s important to surround yourself with positive people who will encourage you to try the impossible. This positive energy will greatly benefit you during difficult days on your diet.
