Progress is one of the best motivators on a diet. What better way is there to start your morning than seeing a one pound loss from the day before? Unfortunately, there is also a flip side to this scenario. A day with no weight loss can send you down a spiral of frustration. Don’t let that frustration lead you to eat something you shouldn’t, or worse, give up! On days with no losses, remember that progress takes patience. There will be some day where you don’t lose any pounds, but you do lose inches. There will be days where you lose nothing but bounce back with a two pound loss the next day. You may have days where you even gain a few ounces, but if you are doing everything in your power to stick to your diet, your body will eventually catch up and you will be rewarded with results.
